TECOSIM trifft Wissenschaft

'Automotive meets science' is the name of a new event format for the Rhine-Main-Neckar automotive cluster, which aims to increase contact between automotive companies and scientists in the region. Scientists, company representatives and students from the Institutes for Automotive Engineering Research at Darmstadt, Frankfurt and Rhein-Main Universities of Applied Sciences came together on 5 November 2014.

The Hessen Minister for Science and Art, Boris Rhein, and Dr. Detlev Reymann, Vice Chancellor of Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences, welcomed guests. The programme offered a number of scientific lectures on the future of transport. Guests also had the opportunity to visit the hydrogen technology laboratory. Students presented the results of their successful master's theses. TECOSIM was represented by an information booth and used the opportunity to showcase attractive entry-level positions in the company. 'The exchange with science academia provides us with great inspiration for our internal innovation process,' says General Manager Martin Westerwald. 'We have also recently successfully completed the Automex research project in cooperation with Rhein-Main University. That's another reason why we were pleased to attend.'
