Martin Westerwald was appointed the new Managing Director of TECOSIM Technische Simulation GmbH on 1 April 2016. TECOSIM GmbH unites all the CAE development partner's operational activities in Germany and Austria within the globally active TECOSIM Group.
This means that TECOSIM GmbH's Executive Management will consist of four members in the future. In addition to Martin Westerwald, it also includes Dr Torben Birker, Udo Jankowski and Jürgen Veith. This change will have no affect on the composition of the Group's Management Board. Dr Torben Birker, Udo Jankowski and Jürgen Veith will remain responsible for the overall business of the internationally active TECOSIM Group.
Martin Westerwald joined Dr Torben Birker to become jointly responsible for the company's business operations in the seven locations in Germany and Austria on 1 April 2016. Mr Westerwald will continue to perform his previous duties as General Manager for the Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm, Rüsselsheim and Graz offices until further notice.
"Martin Westerwald has in-depth experience in the highly specialised environment in which we operate. At the same time, he represents our efforts for developing management careers internally. We are looking forward to continuing to work with him," affirms TECOSIM Member of the Management Board Dr Torben Birker regarding the appointment.
After studying mechanical engineering at Darmstadt Technical University, Mr Westerwald started his career in the automotive supply industry. He joined TECOSIM as a project manager in 2001. After various roles in the company, he was appointed the General Manager of the Rüsselsheim branch in 2008 with Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and, most recently, Graz coming under his leadership at a later stage.
