Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is one of the ten largest practice-based science higher educational institutions in Germany. It is synonymous with teaching strongly focused on practical use and current research and with science-oriented study programmes which qualify students for professional careers. TECOSIM offers students from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences the opportunity to take up placements and student jobs and carry out final year projects in the company.

Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences

Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences: expertise in practice-based research. Founded in 1971, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences offers about 13,000 students practice-oriented studies. Around 63 study programmes provide teaching combined with challenging applied research which is relevant to the realities of the labour market. TECOSIM works in close cooperation with the Institute of Materials Science in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering as part of a research project. The two partners are developing a method to optimise vehicle seating. The project aims to increase crash safety and seat comfort by taking into account biomechanical factors.

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) came into existence after the merger of the Karlsruhe Research Centre and the University of Karlsruhe. It is one of the world's leading research institutions for technology. KIT students acquire the knowledge and skills required for scientific advancement and the development of future-oriented applications in over 80 different study programmes. TECOSIM provides regular guest lectures at the KIT to give students an insight into day-to-day working life in the virtual product engineering sector and its challenges. TECOSIM also offers students placements and topics for their final year projects. 

KIT Karlsruhe Institute of Technology 

Munich University of Applied Sciences

With almost 18,000 students, Munich University of Applied Sciences is the second biggest university of applied sciences in Germany. It offers a broad spectrum of subjects in more than 70 courses, especially in the field of natural and engineering sciences.

TECOSIM cooperates closely with the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Aviation Technology and the Laboratory for Mathematics and Technical Mechanical Systems. Project-related research assistants and students on the masters’ course for Computational Engineering are incorporated in the latter. Within the context of a research project funded by the Federal Government, TECOSIM has developed TEC|CONCEPT in collaboration with Munich University of Applied Sciences and two other cooperation partners. Other joint projects with Munich University of Applied Sciences are planned. TECOSIM also offers students the opportunity to complete placements, to gain insight into everyday business over an extended period as a working student and to mentor masters’ theses.

Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences

Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences has sites in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim and excels thanks to its practice-oriented teaching, from which around 12,000 students benefit. TECOSIM is involved with the teaching programme in the Faculty of Engineering and offers students the opportunity to take up placements and student jobs and carry out final year projects in the company.

Since its foundation in 1877, Technische Universität Darmstadt has always taken an international outlook and has acquired an excellent reputation based on its education, research and answers to the crucial questions affecting our future. The TU excels thanks to its innovative spirit and cooperates on projects with partners in business and science. TECOSIM offers students from TU Darmstadt the opportunity to take up placements and student jobs and carry out final year projects in the company. TECOSIM also supports the TU racing team.
