Rüsselsheim will be the centre of attraction across Hessen between 8 and 18 June when it hosts Hessentag, the oldest and largest Landesfest or state festival in Germany. TECOSIM is supporting this ten-day event as a sponsor. Around a million visitors are expected to attend.
"2017 is a special year for TECOSIM as we are celebrating our anniversary. The foundation stone for our company was laid in our founder's living room in Rüsselsheim exactly 25 years ago. The city has accompanied our company's growth and development ever since, supporting us in our undertakings at all times. It is only natural then that we wish to form part of this project," states Managing Director Martin Westerwald, explaining the reasons for the company's involvement.
Rüsselsheim's mayor Patrick Burghardt welcomes the support: "TECOSIM epitomises one of the Hessentag's key themes: "From an industrial town to think tank". 25 percent of all jobs in the city are related to research and development, i.e. in companies such as TECOSIM."
The first Hessentag took place in 1961, its original aim being to acquaint immigrants with the federal state in all its facets. Today, Hessentag has transformed itself into a modern festival for young and old with around 1,000 events. Host cities have the opportunity to show visitors what unique characteristics they have to offer.
