TECOSIM-Newsletter December 2019

Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear readers,

In our latest newsletter, we present a research project bearing the wonderful name HANNAH. Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, this project aims to prolong the service life of wind turbine rotor blades, thus helping to increase the use of renewable energies. TECOSIM is a partner in this joint research project and uses CAE analyses and optimisation methods to gauge the benefits of new materials.

The second main topic in this newsletter is lightweight construction in the automotive industry. TECOSIM and its partners recently completed a project to develop a new simulation method for calculating crash behaviour in automotive glazing made of Plexiglas. This material promises to reduce weight by up to 50 percent when compared directly with conventional car windows made of glass.

You will also find all the details of our cooperative partnership with Dassault Systèmes Simulia and our TEC|BENCH process for virtual benchmarking.

We wish you and your families a wonderful festive season, a restful Christmas and an excellent, successful, healthy start to 2020.

Best regards,

Your TECOSIM newsletter Team
