Safety



Calculations concerning the protection of occupants and pedestrians comprise explicit crash calculations as well as rigid-body programmes and coupled programmes. Though the same boundary conditions and load cases as for crash simulations apply, these calculations are focussed on interactions between the restraint systems and the occupants and/or pedestrians than on the vehicle structure.
