Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

CFD is the computer-based flow simulation, in which the equations of fluid dynamics consisting of partial differential equations are solved numerically. This area of application includes multi-dimensional flow calculations and thermal calculations. The thermal analysis considers heat transfer through convection, thermal conduction and radiation. Combustion and condensation are included where applicable. The CFD simulation results are discrete, i.e. occurring at individual points, numerical descriptions of a flow field that are mostly presented comparatively. According to the task's complexity we use commercial or internal software applications.
